Bardoli Satyagraha

Resigned from the Presidentship of the Ahmedabad Municipality. Started Bardoli Satyagraha against an arbitrary increase in revenue on the farmers. Enshrined with the title of “Sardar” for the freedom movement at the Calcutta Congress session and endeared in the hearts of farmers as the “Sardar”, the leader of the farmers.
